Hanna-Kaisa Alanen

Hanna-Kaisa Alanen, an experienced designer with a Master of Arts degree, is working towards completing her PhD in Cognitive Science at the Faculty of Information Technology, University of Jyväskylä. Her research explores the individual and socio-emotional dimensions of Human-Technology Interaction (HTI) in evolving everyday life conditions, using fashion as a universal lens to contribute to strategic design. Currently Alanen works as a project researcher in Academy of Finland project BUGGED, Emotional Experience of Privacy and Ethics in Everyday Pervasive Systems at the University of Vaasa. She is also a member of the Science Attic at Puistokatu 4, a joint initiative of the Tiina and Antti Herlin Foundation and the Maj and Tor Nessling Foundation, dedicated to promoting a sustainable way of life within planetary boundaries.
