Binod Timilsina works as a university teacher and study track manager for BSc Industrial Management & Engineering at the School of Technology and Innovation. He is industrial economics oriented, an engineer, certified business analyst, and a professional teacher.
Binod Timilsina completed his M.Sc. in Economics and Business Administration in 2013 and his D.Sc. in Economics and Business Administration in 2017, both from the University of Vaasa. His educational journey, spanning from a Bachelor of Engineering to a Doctor of Science, has been focused on the field of industrial management. Additionally, he completed professional teacher's education in 2021 from Oulu University of Applied Sciences.
In his role, Binod Timilsina teaches courses at both the master's and bachelor's levels. His research interests center around operations and strategic management, performance measurement systems, production management, and managerial decision-making for operations. He has contributed to international journals and books through publications.
As a teacher, Binod Timilsina has been honored with the 'Hyvä opettaja –palkinto 2022', an appreciation for his teaching.
Furthermore, he holds the esteemed position of co-editor at Acta Logistica, an internationally recognized, open-access, peer-reviewed journal specializing in logistics.
