2022 Banking Research Workshop

The School of Accounting and Finance at the University of Vaasa is organising a high-level workshop on banking research. The keynote speaker of the event will be the second most cited banking researcher in the world, Professor Allen N. Berger from the University of South Carolina, USA. His presentation will focus on: How Do Banks Help Alleviate Borrower Financial Constraints During Crises?

The workshop will present research on topics such as good governance of financial institutions, sustainability and risk management, systemic risk and regulation.

The workshop is organised in annual basis. The aim of the workshop is to bring together active academic scholars as well as economists from banking supervisory authorities to network and discuss current matters in banking research. This year's workshop is organized in cooperation with the th the Bank of Finland Institute for Emerging Economies (BOFIT) and funded by the Finnish Foundation for Economic Education
