Ceremonial Conferment of Doctoral Degrees

The fifth Conferment Ceremony of our university will take place from Thursday to Saturday, 6–8 September. Conferment is the highest celebration of academic work where doctoral and honorary doctoral degrees in different disciplines are conferred.

The Conferment celebrations traditionally last three days. The events on Thursday and Saturday are reserved for the doctors and honorary doctors participating in the Conferment. The main event of the Conferment is the Conferment Act on Friday. The friends of University are very welcome to participate in the Academic Procession and Church Service in Vaasa church following the act.
