In 2022 innovation research centres in Finland, the UK and the US formed a network to debate recent research and insights from the world of practice on the drivers of sustainable innovation. Each year we bring together researchers and practitioners to better is to offer insights that can support managers, policymakers and other societal actors in the pursuit of innovations that lead to greater sustainability.
This year’s workshop will be hosted by InnoLab at the University of Vaasa. The focus will be on sustainability transitions and the role that universities and other actors in ecosystem can play to advance them. The workshop includes three different tracks: DRIVING SUSTAINABILITY TRANSITIONS, SYSTEMS & SOCIETY, TRANSFORMATIONAL & CONSUMER-CENTRIC INNOVATION
Keynote
Gary Knight: “Technology, Innovation and Sustainable International Entrepreneurship”
WiIlamette University Professor of Global Management. Gary Knight has extensive experience in international business in the private sector, especially regarding Europe, Japan, and Mexico. Research interests include: International Management Strategy, Strategy in ‘bottom-of-the-pyramid’ Countries and Emerging Markets, Strategy of the ‘born global’ Firm and International Entrepreneurship. Publishes in Journal of International Business Studies, Journal of World Business, Journal of Business Venturing, and Journal of the Academy of Marketing Science, among others. Ranked among the Top 60 (Top 1%) marketing scholars worldwide based on career-long citation impact. President-elect of the Academy of International Business (AIB).
