PhD, LL.M. Barry Phillips gives two guest lectures. The theme of the lectures is "The role and impact of law in the workplace and the challenges for HR today and in the future."

Barry Phillips, is a former practising advocate in both London and Northern Ireland where he now lives. He worked as a criminal defence lawyer first of all and then specialised in labour law doing cutting edge work in the area of discrimination and equality.

He now runs his own multi-award winning company, Legal-Island, which has won the accolade of “Best Place to Work” in Ireland on 3 occasions. His company is well known for the many unique ways it aims to keep its staff engaged.

In this series of lectures, Barry, aims to explain the role and impact of law in the work place as well as pointing out what the challenges are for those in HR today and the future.

The lectures are a part of the course in business law, but anyone who is interested in HR questions is very welcome to attend!
