Opening Ceremonies of the Academic Year

Opening Ceremonies of the Academic Year September 4, 2023 

The opening ceremony of the academic year will be celebrated September 4, 2023 at 14.15. at Ritz (Kirkkopuistikko 22) because of the ongoing renovation at campus. 

The programme starts with an opening procession, that is a part of the academic tradition and continues with speeches by the rector and the chair of the student union. Sirpa Pietikäinen, Member of the European Parliament will give the ceremonial speech. Alumni of the Year award and Kauppakamari Award will be given. Note! Speehes mainly in Finnish. 

Refreshments will be served after the event.
