TransAlgae seminar in Vaasa

The Nordic TransAlgae project organizes an open seminar the 12th of September in Vaasa for everybody interested in the production of micro- and macroalgae biomass from waste streams and using that biomass for energy production. The researchers will present their latest results.

TransAlgae is a three year project. The partners are University of Vaasa, Novia University of Applied Sciences, Swedish University of Agricultural Sciences, Mid Sweden University, Nattviken Invest AB, Biofuel Region Bfr AB and NIBIO.

The goal of the project is to implement innovative solutions for the production of micro- and macroalgae biomass from waste streams at industrial scale. To reach the goal the project will also develop a cost and energy efficient scalable cultivation system and methods for transforming algal biomass for energy production and high value products.
