The Finnish Cultural Foundation awarded a total of 831 grants. A record 10,706 applications were submitted. Of the science applications, 9.7 per cent received funding, while for the arts, the figure was 6.7 per cent. The October call is the largest of the foundation’s four annual funding rounds. In total, the Finnish Cultural Foundation supported Finnish science, arts, and culture with 55 million euros last year.
