Open your cameras in lectures and remote meetings – Open Cameras Day is celebrated at the university on April 27.
The University of Vaasa is organizing an Open Cameras Day on Tuesday, April 27. The purpose of the day is to remind and encourage both students and staff to open the cameras at the beginning of lectures, meetings and other online encounters.
Instead of staring at the black boxes and wondering if we’re talking to ourselves, the Open Cameras Day emphasizes the ever so important encounters of our peer students and colleagues. Using cameras can improve interaction and a sense of community when we see each other’s smiles, nods, and gazes.
Open Cameras Day is one way to strengthen community at the University of Vaasa. The Wider Cameras Open campaign will be held in the fall.
