Brief Biography:
Elmusrati received the B.Sc. (with honors) and M.Sc. (with high honors) degrees in telecommunication engineering from the Electrical and Electronic Engineering Department, Benghazi (old name: Garyounis) University, Benghazi, Libya, in 1991 and 1995, respectively, and the Licentiate of Science in technology (with distinction) and the Doctor of Science in Technology degrees in control engineering from Aalto University (old name: Helsinki University of Technology), Finland, in 2002 and 2004, respectively. He has been assistant lecturer and lecturer in Electrical and Electronic Eng. Department, Garyounis University during 1991-1999. During Sep. 1999 to July 2004, Elmusrati was researcher at Control Engineering Laboratory – Helsinki University of Technology. Next, he obtained a lecturer position at Department of Computer Science – University of Vaasa –Finland during Aug. 2004 to July, 2007. Starting from Aug., 2007, Elmusrati became Professor and head of Telecommunication Engineering Group at University of Vaasa. In June 2009, Elmusrati has been appointed as permanent full professor and head of the international program of communication and system engineering at University of Vaasa. Elmusrati is Senior member at IEEE, member of Society of Industrial and Applied Mathematics (SIAM), and member of Automation Society in Finland. Elmusrati has published more than 145 peer reviewed papers, books, and reports.
Research Interests:
Wireless Communication, 4G; 5G; and Beyond Networks, Uncertainties, Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning with multidisciplinary applications, Smart Systems, Automation, Digitalization, Stochastic modeling and simulations, Data fusion, Game theory, Biotechnology, and machine learning/game theory applications in medical science.
Teaching:
I have lectured more than 20 different courses in telecommunications, electronics, mathematics, and control engineering.
