Per Skålén is a professor of Business Administration doing research in marketing and management. He is currently working within the research streams of transformative service research, service innovation, value codestruction, and public service research and with applying practice theory, strategic action field theory, and other sociological theories to marketing research. Drawing on practice theory, he is focusing on developing a framework of services-as-practices and new understandings of value. His work has appeared in several journals including: Journal of the Academy of Marketing Science, Journal of Service Research, Marketing Theory, Journal of Business Ethics, Journal of Public Policy & Marketing, Organization,and Organization Studies.
