Bachelor in International Business

The bachelor in International Business is a multidisciplinary programme organized jointly by the School of Marketing and Communication and the School of Management. It provides a wide range of courses and topics, develops a wide array of skills relevant for various career paths.

Nowadays, most business jobs inevitably include an international component. That is why learning how to navigate in a global environment is a key advantage in most careers. Our award-winning professors who work in a close cooperation with international companies will help you develop the skills and competencies needed to succeed in this highly complex context. You will, for instance, learn how to plan and execute international management and marketing strategies.

Our alumni works in different companies, from small start-ups to big multinationals such as Google, L’Oréal, Ernst & Young, and KPMG, and at different positions both in Finland and abroad.. They have become, for example:

After completing the bachelor's degree, you will be able to:

International business studies offer a strong connection to business life. The studies include various simulations, case studies, group work, business collaborations and games to help provide a work-life relevant education.

Double degree

This programme is available in English for Double Degree students, coming from our partner universities. You can apply for a Double degree programme at the University of Vaasa during your studies at the European University Viadrina in Germany or at the Prague University of Economics and Business in Czechia. This way you will spend the second academic year of your studies here at the University of Vaasa.

Doing a double degree does NOT make the study time longer or require to earn more credits; it allows you to spend one year abroad and to receive 2 bachelor-degrees certificates.

Master

After the bachelor programme, you can join the Master in International Business that focuses on Sustainable International Business. With this Master programme, you have the opportunity to earn a double degree from French, German, Czech and Italian Universities.
