At first glance, I was attracted by the diversified study program provided by the University of Vaasa. Especially, the master’s degree in Finance has many courses that are very necessary and applicable for the finance industry. In addition to that, the programme has skillful instructors, along with adequate teaching and learning materials. Besides that, when having difficulties in the application process, the staff helped me a lot and responded very quickly. I was surprised when I got my emails responded in a comprehensible manner in a short time, even though it was a summer break.
I was fortunate to be granted a scholarship, which is a huge honour and motivation for me. All the procedures to apply for the scholarship are very simple and easy to follow. During the first year, due to the pandemic, all classes were taught online.. However, I was able to access the online library to obtain all the study materials, thanks to the instructions from each module leader.. Online and onsite learning are not much different because the teachers thoroughly prepared for each class and they also made sure that students have no difficulties in understanding the lessons.. To increase interaction between students, teachers created a lot of group works and group projects for us. Therefore, even though I learnt from a distance, I can still get acquainted with my classmates and simultaneously get my knowledge polished. The distribution of the courses is also very logical that helps me to stay focused on the study and to arrange a suitable timetable.
I managed to finish my first year of the master's programme at University of Vaasa through online study due to the pandemic.. However, the thing I like the most about my study at the University of Vaasa is the dedication of the staff and teachers.I would like to express my sincere gratitude towards their hard work and contribution. I feel so privileged to be a student of University of Vaasa. Moreover, every class I have had so far is extremely informative and useful. I believe that knowledge I have accomplished during my study can be advantageous in my future endeavours.
