In the University of Vaasa mentoring programme, our alumni act as mentors for students close to graduation.

Mentoring gives the students (mentees) valuable support for their career planning and future working life. The mentors gain new perspectives on their own careers and the development of their expertise. Mentoring is based on equal interaction and trust.

The mentoring programme is open to students of the University of Vaasa from all fields. The mentoring language is Finnish or English. The programme also includes interim meetings with the whole group. The mentor-mentee pairs meet once or twice a month. A mentoring relationship requires motivation, commitment and time from both parties to make the mentoring as beneficial as possible for both.

Programme 2023–2024:

The programme will start on Monday, 25 September 2023 at 16.30–18.30.
There will be interim meetings on Monday, 11 December 2023 and Monday, 11 March 2024.
The programme closing event will be on Monday, 13 May 2024 at 16.30–18.30.
