The application for FITech’s free technology courses has started for spring 2025

The University of Vaasa is a member of the Finnish Institute of Technology, FITech. In spring 2025, this network university offers near 200 free courses on the themes of digitalisation and renewable energy.
FITech Network University’s courses are organised by Finnish universities of technology, and they are free of charge for Finns and permanent residents of Finland.
In spring 2025, there are nearly 200 university courses available on the themes of digitalisation and renewable energy. Nearly all FITech courses can be completed online, and many of them can be studied at your own pace, for example alongside work or other studies.
Whether you are already working, planning a career change or still in the middle of your studies, FITech’s free-of-charge study offering has something for everyone! The selection includes beginner, intermediate and advanced courses. Courses are offered in Finnish, Swedish and English.
In spring 2025, the University of Vaasa offers the following FITech courses in English:
- Applied signal processing
- Control and simulation principles of drivers and converter systems
- Hydrogen as fuel in combustion engines
- Machine learning
- Mobile application development
- Navigation technologies for autonomous systems
- Project portfolio management
- Service design
