Students Gaurav Pai Kane from Sheffield Hallam University, UK, and Anastasiia Hresko from Berlin School of Economics and Law, Germany, attended all three weeks of the summer school.
Anastasiia appreciates the holistic approach of the summer school.
– We got to know all the process of the entrepreneurial journey, starting from the ideation process to the evaluation of the startups and their potential to succeed.
The summer school programme is designed to equip students with essential entrepreneurial knowledge and skills within an international context. In addition to professors from the University of Vaasa, the programme included renowned academics from other universities and company representatives.
Beyond the academic curriculum, the summer school included a range of extracurricular activities such as team building, visiting a street art exhibition and exploring the Svedjehamn fishing harbour in the Kvarken Archipelago, which is a UNESCO World Heritage site.
By gathering business-oriented students around the world together for interesting learning and extracurricular activities, the summer school has been an excellent ground for networking. Both Gaurav and Anastasiia think that the international network they have gained during the summer school experience will be beneficial for them in the future.
– I’ve met a lot of people from different countries in a very short span of time, and I think that will benefit me in the future, says Gaurav.
