New opportunity for American researchers in Vaasa – the University of Vaasa and Fulbright ...
The scholarship is available for all disciplines of the University of Vaasa. To be eligible to apply, the candidate must have U.S. citizenship, a doctoral degree, and research and teaching experience over multiple years. Application for the programme will be open for the first time already next summer, and it will be for the academic year 2020–2021. The selections are made once a year in December.
“Launching the Fulbright scholarship programme strengthens the University of Vaasa's collaboration with the United States in research and teaching,” says Jari Kuusisto, the Rector of the University of Vaasa.
“Fulbright Finland strives to build long-term and impactful collaboration with Finnish universities to support their strategic goals, and we are delighted to begin a partnership with the University of Vaasa,” says Terhi Mölsä, the Chief Executive Officer of Fulbright Finland Foundation. - The new scholarship program created together with the University of Vaasa is also an excellent opportunity for U.S. researchers.
Fulbright Finland Foundation is a non-profit organization specializing in academic and professional exchange between Finland and North America. One of its key goals is to support the internationalization of Finnish higher education institutions. Fulbright Finland Foundation offers several scholarship programmes also for Finns. Scholarships can be applied for university degree courses, doctoral training, and research or teaching visits in the United States.
