Well-being week at the university, 1-5 October 2012
The Well-being week takes place at the University of Vaasa on the first week of October (1-5 October 2012). The program includes lectures, and you also have a chance to visit a variety of stands from Tuesday to Thursday in the lobby of restaurant Mathilda. Most of the events during the Well-being week are arranged in Finnish, but some of them will be available in English or otherwise suitable for non-Finnish speakers.
Program of the Well-being week (suitable for non-Finnish speakers)
Thursday 2 p.m. in F104 (Fabriikki)
- Lecture by Study Psychologist Harriet Huhtamäki
Friday 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. in Domus Bothnica, Wärtsilä hall
- Start your weekend by stretching and relaxing with Shindo (Please take an exercise mat and a bottle of water with you)

Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday
- Occupational health nurses: Have your blood pressure, body composition, waist circumference, hemoglobin, blood sugar and lung capacity measured! (10 a.m. to 2 p.m.)
- Info stand: Student Union’s sports clubs
- Info stand: University´s equality program, also equality quiz and a lottery
Tuesday and Wednesday
- Datero and Lossi´s info stand about dyslexia (11.30 a.m. - 2 p.m.)
Tuesday and Thursday
- Study Psychologist Harriet Huhtamäki (Tuesday: 12 to 2 p.m.; Thursday: 12.30 to 1.30 p.m.)
- City of Vaasa’s Department of physical education: Information about sports possibilities in Vaasa
Tuesday
- Vaasa blood service: info stand and lottery (11 a.m. to 2 p.m.)
Wednesday and Thursday
- YHTS (FSHS): information about sexuality, relationships and sexually transmitted diseases (12 to 2 p.m.)
- Info stand by the Celia library (books for the visually impaired)
