Essi Vesterinen
Doctoral Researcher
BACKGROUND AND CURRENT POSITION
I hold an MSc degree (Econ.) in marketing from the University of Vaasa (Finland) and a MA degree in French language including pedagogic studies from the university of Helsinki (Finland). Currently I am a grand-funded researcher at the university of Vaasa working for finishing my doctoral theses. I also teach several courses alongside my research. Previously I have worked for example as a research manager in a private market research company.
RESEARCH INTERESTS
My research is situated in the fields of consumer research (consumer behaviour) and marketing. My work focuses on sustainable consumption and social marketing as well as on the linkages between consumption and subjective well-being, particularly in the context of clothing system.
