Digitalisaatio ja laskentatoimi (Digitalization and accounting)
This research project explores the impacts of the digitalization to accounting, like changes in the accounting profession and competencies in increasingly digitalizing working life, including sustainability. Methodologically the research project is mainly carried out by using qualitative case analysis in large Finnish companies, but it includes also quantitative survey research, as well as data analytics employing machine learning and artificial intelligence (AI). The project is conducted in cooperation with University of Oulu and several international partners. In single articles there is also cooperation with the University of Turku and University of Jyväskylä. The Research at the University of Vaasa is carried out by a team of researchers of the AGA RG and the Digital Economy Research Platform.
