Information about the studies and enrolment for cross studies

The University of Vaasa and Vaasa University of Applied Sciences and the University of Vaasa and the University of Oulu will start using the cross-study service from 1.8.2024. 

For all collaborative study courses offered by Vaasa University of Applied Sciences and the University of Oulu in the next academic year, students will enrol via the cross-study service through their home university student desktop (Peppi) from 1.8.2024. By registering, the student creates a new right to study at the target university. Since the right to study at the destination university is established upon enrolment, it is particularly important that the student enrols on time, during the enrolment period for the implementation. 

Instructions on how to retrieve the password for the new student account will be sent to the student in an automated message when the enrolment is accepted by the teacher of the implementation.

In cross studies, the assessments will automatically move between the home and the target institution once the teacher has given an assessment for the implementation (at the target institution). 

As a result, from Autumn 2024 onwards, there will no longer be any manual data transfer and students will no longer need to apply for a compensation. In view of the above, it is important that new enrolments are made using the cross-study service.
