International Tutoring
Every international student is appointed a tutor who will contact you before your arrival. Tutors are fellow students who help new students to adjust to the Finnish society and the academic environment. You can consider your tutor as your first friend in Finland. Do not hesitate to ask them any questions - your tutor is happy to help!
If you have not heard from your tutor despite your studies are about to start soon, please remember to check also your email spam folder in case the messages from your tutor have ended up there. If you are a degree student, please note that you cannot be assigned a tutor before you have met all conditions set for your acceptance and have paid the tuition fee (if not exempted).

The purpose of tutoring
Tutor's task is to assist you in getting settled and to create a possibility to meet other students during different events. Though they can help you in many things, the tutors do not give any study counselling, nor assist with visa related matters. For those issues please turn to the Mobility Services, Admission Services, the study counsellor in your Master's programme, or to the authority responsible over the matter (e.g. Finnish Immigration Service).
