Background

I am a University Teacher in the Human Resource Management research group and a team member of DIGI-ME, an EU-funded project aimed at helping business students develop and enhance their digital skills.

I have extensive industry experience, including founding and managing an online retail company in Finland. In addition to my entrepreneurial background, I have worked in the consulting industry, where I conducted market and industry analyses, identified emerging trends across various sectors, and provided strategic solutions for companies seeking to enter new markets and capitalize on emerging opportunities.

Research

My primary research interests lie in mergers and acquisitions, change management, and uncertainty management. Specifically, I examine the operational aspects of post-acquisition integration, focusing on the role of integration managers. Recently, I have also been studying the impact of integration speed on employees' emotions and its subsequent effect on decision-making.

Additionally, I am interested in understanding the competencies future leaders will need to navigate organizations effectively, as well as the influence of artificial intelligence and evolving technologies on the future of work.

Teaching

I have taught and coordinated courses in Sustainability and International Business Ethics, Cross-Cultural Management, and MIB Mentoring within the EFMD- and AACSB-accredited Master's Degree Programs in International Business (MIB) and Strategic Business Development (SBD). I have also taught and coordinated Cross-Cultural Management courses at the Open University. Additionally, I supervise bachelor's and master's theses in the MIB and SBD fields.

As an educator, I am passionate about exploring innovative teaching methods to enhance student engagement. I am deeply committed to supporting students in their personal and professional development. At the core of my teaching philosophy is a strong belief in fostering a culture of mutual support, collaboration, and appreciation.
