Welcome to my profile! I am a project researcher and a PhD student at the University of Vaasa, where I specialize in internal combustion engines with a focus on marine and off-road applications. My research primarily explores the use of variable valve actuation (VVA) technology to enhance fuel flexibility and minimize emissions in advanced marine engines. With over nine years of experience in this field, I am deeply committed to advancing sustainable and efficient engine technologies.
Research
My research are centered around enhancing engine efficiency and emission control through innovative mechanical solutions and advanced simulation techniques. I am currently involved in several projects aiming to optimize engine performance using advanced strategies in both conventional and modern engines. These projects include exploring the role of VVA in efficient after-treatment processes, developing a post-processing routine to analyze dual-fuel and RCCI engine data, and investigating the potential of Negative Valve Overlap (NVO) for fuel flexibility and reactivity control in dual-fuel RCCI engines.Each project advances our knowledge of emerging technologies to achieve near-zero emissions, adapt to zero-carbon fuels, and enhance the sustainability and efficiency of marine transport
