I manage the Master's program in Business Development in Kokkola and Seinäjoki. I have pedagogical responsibility for several courses in human resource management and strategic management. My passion lies in the success of our students and supporting their academic achievement and well-being. I actively work on creating a neuro-friendly educational environment and strive to provide equal opportunities for higher education, graduation, and employment for all neurotypes.
Before my academic career, I was active in the software, technology, and consulting industries for over 20 years, where I held profit and loss responsible leadership and management positions in international organizations and projects. I have particular experience in competency development, goal-oriented leadership, change management, and the planning of strategies, processes, and operating models. Additionally, I serve as an instructor and coach for Vaasa University's Executive Education, focusing on leadership, management, and workplace well-being development. I use Finnish, Swedish, and English daily in my work.
At home, I act as a project manager, being the mother of five young children and also a bonus parent. Our youngest, twins, bring a lot of activity to our lives. I strive to balance work and life in a way that they enrich each other. Whenever I find some personal time, I go for long runs, play the piano, learn horseback riding, or read a good book.
