New students arrived on campus
More than 500 new students start their studies in Bachelor’s Programmes and 140 in Master’s Programmes held in Finnish.
The University and the student union work in close cooperation on receiving the new students. Tutors work as links between the news students and the University community. They familiarise the students with the campus area and the city of Vaasa as well as help with the beginning of studies and student life.
Students from all around the world
Almost 150 new international exchange students and 130 international postgraduate students start their studies this autumn as well. Exchange students come mostly from Europe and postgraduate students from all over the world: altogether there are students from 80 different countries. Also international students’ studies begin with an orientation week.
The induction of degree and exchange students started on Monday 22nd of August. The students receive information about the studies, living in Finland and services available to students in Vaasa during the orientation days.
