The University of Vaasa improved its results among the best universities in Europe – quality of research among the best in Europe

The University of Vaasa has improved its results in the QS World University Rankings Europe 2025. The University of Vaasa performed especially well in terms of research quality, ranking 4th best in that area among all European universities included in the ranking.
A total of 684 universities were included in this year’s Europe rankings, from over 40 countries or territories. The University of Vaasa moved up by almost 30 ranks from 311th to 289th, which is the biggest upward leap among Finnish universities.
In addition to the quality of research, internationality was a key strength for the University of Vaasa in the ranking. In terms of both inbound and outbound exchange students, the university ranked among the top 100 European universities. The University of Vaasa was also 2nd highest rated in Finland for the ratio of international faculty.
