Introduction
My research work is centred on internal combustion engine control system development. My interest strongly focus on cylinder pressure-based control and model predictive control, range from conventional diesel and dual-fuel engines to advanced low-temperature types of combustion. I have experience from several European engine development initiatives (Hercules 2, FLEXe, INTENS). In close collaboration with Wärtsilä R&D in control functionality development for marine and powerplant engines. I am amongst others responsible for the commissioning of the rapid control prototyping system for the state of the art VEBIC- Wärtsilä 4L20 medium-speed engine.
