Alireza Kakoee

Dr. Alireza Kakoee is a Postdoctoral Researcher in the EPS team and leads the Simulation and modelling sub-team. His current research activities are related to 1D engine system level simulation (coupled GT-UVATZ) and 1D/3D chemical kinetic combustion modelling. His previous academic expertise is related to CFD combustion simulation (hydrogen as an additive in RCCI engines), chemical kinetic mechanism reduction and tuning (biodiesel), modified knock integral combustion model (control-oriented method), thermodynamic analysis of a system of reactions (Gibbs equation). He has co-authored 19 research publications. In addition to his work in academia, he has 9 years of industrial experience as a senior engineer in the planning, maintenance and control centre of Arman Gohar in the Gole Gohar mining and industrial complex.
